I don't know if your ever like me but Spring Cleaning can feel like a huge chore! I love the results however it's just getting to that place where we leave the winter blues behind us and look forward to what spring and summer will bring us :-)
My biggest weakness is leaving the winter comfort food behind and looking forward to healthier choices that the spring and summer months have to offer!
It's sometimes hard to connect with our Spring Cleaning chores when we feel so sluggish from what we've eaten or not eaten during the cold winter months. We may feel icky and so therefore it's harder to get into the groove of keeping the rest of our responsibilities maintained!
This next week or so I'm going to focus on ways to help us all shake those winter habits and start focusing on Spring Cleaning our bodies and minds... I'll also throw in some Spring Cleaning tips in there as well.

6 Things You Don't Know About a Special Needs Parent by Maria Lin
This article touched me heart and humbled me! When we think of "special needs" or hear the word, it comes to mind the early 90's, 80's (down the line) meaning of mental retardation! It's a super harsh word, I know! But that is what people would think of back in the day!
Now, in the year 2012, the words "special needs" is placed with extreme difficulties to those kiddos who have auto-immune problems, extreme food allergies/sensitivities, is socially slow/awkward etc!
When I read this article, I couldn't help but identify with several of her thoughts and feelings! It's also helped me to realize that we need to be mindful, respectful, thoughtful and loving towards those parents who are on this journey for a short period of time to those who are on this journey for a much longer adventure!
I related to her when she said that it was helpful for her to share about something specific of her son then to just ask how was he doing! "How are they doing" is such an open question! Where does one start but it's easier or more digestible to answer something more specific and let those more direct questions lead to a more in-depth conversation with ease!
Please read the full post ... If you are a parent with special needs then you might find this article helpful to read and if you aren't a parent with a kiddos with impairments then you probably know of a parent who is! I encourage you to read this info not for your own sake, read it for that parent you know of who is walking this journey right now!

BLOG'S MISSION & VERSES
THESE ARE SOME OF THE BIBLE VERSES THAT REALLY STRUCK HOME IN MY HEART AS TO WHY I WANTED TO SHARE THIS BLOG
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is
faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but
with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may
be able to endure it
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
...do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body
...do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body
1 Corinthians 10:31
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal
of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God,
what is good and acceptable and perfect.
